The 2007 Pinot Noir Le Moulin Rouge has come on like gangbusters since last year. Sensational dark berry fruits (particularly raspberries, blueberries, and currants) are intertwined with subtle smoke, graphite, and oak aromas in this dense ruby/purple-tinged 2007. With terrific fruit, full body, and an opulent style, it should provide immense pleasure over the next decade.

Delicious, rich and concentrated, with tiers of pure black cherry, plum and wild berry flavors that are intense and well-structured, ending with a long, full finish.

Deep red with a bright rim. Hypnotic bouquet of red and dark berry preserves, potpourri, incense and Asian spices. Expansive, seductively sweet raspberry and boysenberry flavors reach every nook and cranny of the palate, picking up candied rose and smoky mineral qualities with aeration. You'd pay at least twice this wine's price to get as much clarity and jaw-droppingly pure fruit in a Burgundy. The finish, which refuses to let up, strongly echoes the red berry and floral qualities. I shudder to call a $95 wine a value, but this is just that. The fruit comes from the Pisoni vineyard.
